The waves are crashing on the shimmering rocks
The seagulls are squawking, beginning to flock
Where the silvery fish splash water as they jump
I sit with my back to an old, twisted tree stump
Watching, just watching, feeling no need to talk
The brilliant sun reflects on the oceans deep blue
Warming my body all the way through
In the distance I see a humpback whale blow
Just in front of towering mountains, covered in a blanket of snow
I really don’t mind it sitting here all alone
Because the ocean will always and forever be my home
