“Ocean Dance” by Jasz Garrett

It’s impossible to describe water in 100 words.
She is a powerful enigma,
chasing down my spine and dancing on my eyelashes.
She urges her own rhythm upon the world
growing flowers, strengthening rivers, creating space for grief. 60% of my body, 71% of mother earth, 100 words, 100 breaths She comes and goes as she pleases.
I welcome the force soaking my Southeast bones.
I flip and dive under lakes with salmon. Water is my home. With the waves, I gather momentum.
Inside hurricanes, I heal.
I create power in every breath.
Even the raindrops offer peace in chaos.
