“Shape Shifting” by Shuwa (Sonya M Gray)

Another cold rain swells the river
Swallowing the snow and earth whole
There is no natural charity in transition
Not even room for the bold

The path disappears beneath the bridge
And quiet disturbance makes a mess
Least resistant is now oppressive
Tradition has come to rest

The field that lay beyond changes
A place with memories unseen
It is now a lake of deepened meaning
A shape-shifting landscape of dream

“Water” by Landon Hill

Wet cold and fun A fun time to boat Time to have a great time Existing for a new person Rivers lakes creeks
