“Fishing” by Allie Hurley

Kissing the catch at every children’s fishing derby

Climbing down rocks at Ketchikan’s iconic Red Bridge releasing each spawning fish

Boating to “secret” honey holes of salmon and halibut

Buying our own boat “to catch the Big One, Al!”

Ever present binoculars for whale watching (and to spy, of course)

Halibut so huge we had to stop for the day due not having deck space

Lifelong memories with Dad on and around the ocean

Yet, all this fishing for someone who doesn’t eat fish (me)

Ocean memories created with Dad that will live on forever in stories we tell
