Here we go again, folks. The Trump administration announced today that it will publish the draft environmental impact statement to the Federal Register this week kicking off a short comment period that ends September 21, 2026.
The Tongass National Forest and its Roadless areas hold immeasurable value and are the underpinning of many of the economic drivers for local communities. This action would have a direct and profound impact on us, our communities, economy, and all of those who live and work in the Tongass National Forest.
