SEACC Success
If you've been to the Tongass, you may not know it, but you've likely enjoyed the benefits of some of SEACC's success.
In almost four decades of work to protect this national treasure, the Tongass National Forest, our efforts have contributed to keeping significant parts of the Tongass open to community use and in the state Mother Nature intended.
With bounty as rich as that of the Tongass, there will always be those who want to take more than their share. With that in mind, many of our successes have had lasting positive impacts on the forest, and in others we have "won the battle but are still in a larger war."
Going forward, we're turning a "Wild Idea" - to earn lasting protections for the best of the Tongass- into a proactive campaign.
This way, instead of fighting and re-fighting old battles, the people and wildlife who depend on a healthy, intact forest can have certainty that this great place will continue to bless all those who come in contact with it for generations to come.
