SEACC gets Prince of Wales "Out in the Rain"

In spring 2009, SEACC initiated a collaborative effort to encourage people to have fun getting out in the woods and waters surrounding Tongass communities on Prince of Wales Island.

The effort, called "Out in the Rain," is an outdoors recreational program in Craig sponsored by SEACC, the USFS-Craig Ranger District, and Craig's tribal organization, the Craig Community Association.

Through the Out in the Rain program, SEACC hopes to get people outside doing something physical, educational, and fun at no cost to participants. We will work with sponsor groups to provide experts to expand people's perceptions of the outdoor world and help Prince of Wales residents make new connections to the wonders in their own back yards.
